The Sony batteries in a VAIO laptop can always be better. But besides those things, it is important to take care of your laptop battery. The fact is torn and the more they wear, the less battery life.

Laptops usually have batteries of the type Li-ion. In the past they used NiMH and NiCD but now it is mainly Li-ion. It is worth knowing about these batteries that they hate the heat. Heat makes the batteries work less, and therefore there are some tips you should consider when you use your computer.

Always have a hard surface: To sit with the laptop in bed or in your lap is not a good idea. Always try to put it on a surface that is suitable to dissipate heat. A standard pillow is thus completely worthless. There are several pillows designed for this. IKEA has one which is actually quite okay. I use it myself.

When using your notebook computer, do not charge the notebook battery: Using the notebook and charging the notebook battery would get the temperature too high, and the battery life will be affected. So, do not use the laptop and charge the laptop battery at the same time.

The fans of your laptop need to be noted: When your laptop is working, you have to check your fans to see if they are working and if there is room for air exchanging. The fans need to get air into your laptop and breathe out the hot air to keep your laptop at an acceptable temperature. There is also why your laptop needs to work on a hard surface since a soft surface may clog the fan holes and make your laptop over-heated.

Do not leave your laptop in the car, especially when the weather is hot: Laptops always go with us, and are sometimes left in the cars. However, the temperature in a stopped car is very scary, especially when the weather is very hot. Although your laptop does not work in the car, the power of the battery goes away as well.
